We’ve just completed this promo sleeve for the second Arcadion release on DC Recordings. I’ve had a little preview, and all three tracks on this 12inch are pretty amazing – one of my all-time favourite DC releases already I think?
Imagine Afrika Bambaataa born in the year 2029. (sorry, this is why I don’t review records for a living!)
This is our sleeve for “Black Ken”, a new 12inch by The Emperor Machine released on DC Recordings in April. This single will act as a teaser to the eagerly awaited third album due to be released in the summer.
We’ve also finished the artwork for the album so I’ll hopefully be able to blog that up soon as well!
We’ve just completed this new 12inch sleeve for Higamos Hogamos, soon to be released on DC Recordings. The vinyl features remixes by The Emperor Machine and Muscleheads, and may well get stuck inside your head for the rest of your life after hearing it.
Our friends at Bongoût, have designed this lovely screenprint for a recent Emperor Machine gig at Club Transmediale in Berlin. I believe DC Recordings have a few copies left to buy from their website if you’re interested.
We’re very pleased to announce our first solo exhibition at The Lazy Dog Gallery in Paris, in association with our friends at BKRW and G-Shock. The show opens on the 29th January and runs through until the 14th February. We’ll have a lot of new pieces on show including artwork for DC Recordings, Versatile Records, Simian Mobile Disco, Nightmares On Wax, Sixpack, LoDown and WAD amongst others!
If you’re in Paris next Thursday please pop in to say hello at the opening event from 6pm-9pm.
+ To celebrate the launch of the show, we’re giving away a free download of ‘Labocatocs’ by The Emperor Machine courtesy of DC Recordings. We were very honoured to feature in the track title and it’s a pleasure to be able to offer the track for free during our exhibition (The only catch is you need to sign up to our unobtrusive newsletter here!).
I just received this lovey screenprint designed by Joey. The poster was made for hi-nu.com to coincide with the DC Recordings party in Paris last weekend, and it’s turned out rather nicely I think. I believe he has a few left for sale at his website if you’re interested.
It’s time to disgrace the dancefloors of Paris once again. We will be at La Fleche d’Or tomorrow night for a big DC Recordings extravaganza! The Emperor Machine, The Oscillation and new boys Higamos Hogamos all perform live, whilst Cosmo Vitelli, Depth Charge, Padded Cell and UK Acid House pioneer, James Dyer will all be on the decks.
Here’s a new video of our friend (and hero) The Emperor Machine filmed during a recent trip to Moscow. Very chuffed to see him wearing one of our T’shirts too! Apologies for the completely shameless plug – but I believe there are still a few of these available from Sixpack (DC Recordings sold out already!).
We’ve just finished designing this 12inch sleeve for a new release by Depth Charge on DC Recordings. To be released as a vinyl only in the new year I think.
