This Friday there’s a very special DC Recordings party at Corsica Studios in Elephant & Castle. Apart from the line-up being top-notch, it may well be the last ever party hosted by DC – which has got to be worth celebrating in itself!
We’ll be there to say goodbye and good-riddance to our DC pals Tom and Mr. Dyer (UK Acid House Pioneer). See you at the bar…
Here’s a quick look at our sleeve for the new Kelpe album Cambio Wechsel. The cover and CD Booklet feature the great man himself taking a little subterranean adventure, and is due to be released on DC Recordings around October 19th I think.
They’ve also made this rather nice animated webpage for all those pre-orders…
We’ve just completed this quick CD cover for a new DC Recordings compilation “Death Before Distemper, Volume 4″. The CD is mixed by Kelpe, and it’s quite a journey. He’s had access to the full DC back catalogue and has carefully constructed a unique mix that could’ve only been created by Kelpe! We love it – and we’re getting a bit excited by his new album too! I think both will be released in September.
We’ve designed the cover for the forthcoming issue of our favourite free mag +1 Magazine. Should be in shops around the end of July, and will also include a feature on the relentless battle of La Boca vs DC Recordings (with some awful images of us I suspect!).
We received the very sad news that our friend EON passed away today. Along with Depth Charge and Baby Ford, EON released a catalogue of amazing records on Vinyl Solutions in the early 90s. Our thoughts are with his friends and family.
Kelpe has released his first T’shirt, featuring an illustration by our friend Alex Jaco. They’re now available to buy in a few colours from the DC Recordings website – I plumped for the gold!
We finally completed the artwork for the new Emperor Machine album “Space Beyond The Egg”! Released on CD and vinyl by DC Recordings on June 1st. It’s another masterpiece from the Emperor and it was a complete honour for us to design the sleeve – we are not worthy…
Few more pix of the album and CD booklet after the jump.
We’ve now completed this 12inch sleeve for Arcadion. In the end I managed to blag a bit of extra budget from DC so the sleeve will now be printed in fluro inks. It will be his second release on DC Recordings, and although I’ve been blathering on about this record before, it’s worth mentioning again – it’s very, very good!!!
Here’s our 12inch sleeve for another classic by The Emperor Machine, “Kananana”. This will be the second release from the forthcoming album, allegedly due to be released on DC Recordings in June. We’re also collaborating on a little video for this one – but more on that soon I hope.
We’ve just completed this promo sleeve for the second Arcadion release on DC Recordings. I’ve had a little preview, and all three tracks on this 12inch are pretty amazing – one of my all-time favourite DC releases already I think?
Imagine Afrika Bambaataa born in the year 2029. (sorry, this is why I don’t review records for a living!)
