Monday morning pick-me-up.
Monday morning pick-me-up.
Today we are mostly listening to our old friend (and often enemy) Depth Charge. Our studio wouldn’t exist without him. Some of these tracks are 20 years old. Genius – no question.

Over the past few months we’ve been working with our Parisian friends at Versatile Records on a special new project titled Aladdin. Here’s a snippet of the artwork (above) for the debut album and (below) the first 12″ of remixes. Endorsed by the La Boca Sound System and highly recommended for anyone experiencing consistent relationship problems.

It seems DC Recordings are back! We’ve just completed the sleeve for the debut album by Arcadion. We’ve had a sneaky listen and it’s instantly in the top 5 of our all-time fave DC releases. More news soon we hope…

The second single we created for Alice Gold was Cry Cry Cry. The brief for this was quite simple, “an explosion of emotion please”. Again, all about the details.

The debut album from Alice Gold is released on Monday, so we thought it’d be a good chance to post up some of the imagery we’ve created for the campaign leading up to it. Over the past year we’ve developed a lot of love for Alice in the studio (and considering most of our clientele usually have beards of some sort, the fact that she also happens to be hot has helped the process no end). First up was Runaway Love. As always with the Alice Gold artwork, it’s all about the details. Incidentally, this single was also accompanied by a rather nice Andrew Weatherall mix…

We’ve been very honored to create the 2011 artwork for Vivid Live at the Sydney Opera House. This year the festival is being curated by Modular Records founder and creative mastermind, Steve Pavlovic. The line-up was officially announced this morning – and looks suitably bonkers!
