We’ve designed this 70×100 poster for a new group show taking place at the Scion Gallery in Los Angeles. All the work in the show is inspired by a short sci-fi film directed by Jean-baptiste de Laubier, titled “It Was On Earth That I knew Joy” and will feature art by some great peeps, inc: DIY, Jonathan Zawada, Museum Studio, Sanghon Kim, Seb Jarnot, Akroe, Lowrider, Benbo George…  and many more! It’s all curated by Sixpack, and there is more info about the project here on their site. Opens on 20th Feb – Should be a good one I think.

The poster is screenprinted in 4 special colours and we should have some available in the shop soon.

I passed by the opening of the new Adam Neate show at the Elms Lester Gallery last night. Really great stuff – highly recommend.

We’re really busy at the moment, but I finally managed to drop by the Hussein Chalayan exhibition at the Design Museum for a quick poke about. It’s a really nice show overall and features a summary of his work from the past 10 years or so, including his film collaborations and actual samples from the collections. The exhibition graphics and guide are all designed by åbäke, so of course these are also quite special, and the guide in particular is a beautiful little chap.

The show is quite unusual as there are no captions to accompany the pieces, instead all the info is provided in the small, but extensive, 12×12cm black and white guide (shown above). I thought this was a nice touch as you appreciate the guide even more and it avoids the inevitable problem of nobs blocking the captions so you can’t read them!

The highlight of the show is definitely experiencing the laser dress in person (video above in case you can’t make it though!). A very, very beautiful piece of design.

Show continues until the 17th May.

I finally managed to drop in to the fantastic Rodchenko & Popova exhibition currently showing at the Tate Modern. There are twelve rooms in total, all comprehensively exploring the development of both artists, including painting, graphic design, photography, cinema, textiles, architecture and even a re-enactment of the Workers Club in room 12.

The exhibition is open until the 17th May. Highly recommended.

Here’s a quick look at a new image we’ve created for Casio to celebrate our exhibition opening at The Lazy Dog Gallery in Paris. A big thank you to everyone who dropped in to our exhibition opening last night. It was a cold evening and the entire Paris transport system was on strike, so we really appreciated that so many people still made the effort to come. Thanks again to BKRW, G-Shock and The Lazy Dog Gallery for making it all happen! We’re very pleased to announce our first solo exhibition at The Lazy Dog Gallery in Paris, in association with our friends at BKRW and G-Shock. The show opens on the 29th January and runs through until the 14th February. We’ll have a lot of new pieces on show including artwork for DC Recordings, Versatile Records, Simian Mobile Disco, Nightmares On Wax, Sixpack, LoDown and WAD amongst others!
